Wanda Schwartz is bringing in the money selling Bobbie-Sue Cosmetics. She's also fast becoming a pro at recruiting new women for the company. What she never thought would happen is that a man would show up at one of her recruiting parties. A really gorgeous one, no less!
Heath Jefferson's desperate for some cash. He went from having a mansion and tons of it to having nada and when he founds out how much money one can make selling cosmetics, he plans to crash Wanda's party. He's that desperate. What he never counted on was being attracted to Wanda.
Unfortunately, Wanda just found out that she has a terminal illness. But then again with two best friends who are a vampire and a werewolf, it couldn't possibly be that terminal. Wanda's trying to deal with this news, especially since she was starting to be really attracted to Heath. Now she's torn between keeping things professional between them or following her heart and going for it.
Cassidy brings her trademark snazzy sense of humor back again into another Accidental Friends book. Wanda had always been the most responsible of the three unlikely friends; she's always smoothing things over between Marty and Nina, who pretty much fight like cats. Or like werewolves and vampires. Even though I had a blast reading The Accidental Human, I was really annoyed at Wanda for wondering about whether she should ask either Marty or Nina to make her into a vampire or a werewolf so she wouldn't die. I mean, what's there to think about? How could she not want to live? So apart from that little annoyance, I laughed my way through the book and ended it with a happy sigh. Heath's pretty awesome and the terrible two - Nina and Marty - are their old, cat-and-dog self.
The Accidental Human is a hilarious, wonderful story about two people overcoming odds and being together. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and I can't wait to read Cassidy's future books.
Immortality bites- new from the author of Accidentally Dead and The Accidental Werewolf.
