Hereditary Magic

Blood and Bone Legacy Book 1

Uncontrolled magic can kill but it may also save people in Columbus. But, this story is more than just magic, though it is magical! Family, friendships, desires and so much more come into play as Brittany tries to figure out her place in life and her magical abilities. Her struggles to be independent are combined with her desire to be part of a coven. Her natural magical abilities are at direct odds with her knowledge. The new threat in Columbus is actually hundreds of years old. If this sounds confusing, it isn’t. The characters come to life and are easily likeable. Brittany and Everett have a special relationship that is hard to exactly explain. However, both characters grow and expand as the story evolves. This is a spin off book from another series but definitely stands on its own even though the other series bleeds into this one. I enjoyed this book without having read the other series. I was left wanting more so I can’t wait to read the next book. This is a terrific paranormal story that young and old can enjoy.

Brittany knows she is a powerful witch but what good is that if she can’t save her mother. Not only that but her coven has abandoned her leaving her without a teacher. She has been accepted by the vampire colony and the werewolf pack so she does have some where to live. In fact, her best friend is a werewolf. But, as people start dying in Columbus, Brittany and her friend, Everett are trying to figure out who and how. Can Brittany gain control of her magic to help or will more people die before someone else can step in?

Book Blurb for Hereditary Magic

Brittany Hughes is the most powerful witch of her generation but at twenty-one, she lacks the control of more mature witches. After a vampire attack that killed several people, including her mother, Brittany is abandoned by her coven and set adrift into the preternatural world. But she’s not alone. Brittany has earned the respect of the vampire colony and the werewolf pack. Everett Cooper has named himself her werewolf protector and friend.

As people start dying around Columbus and threaten to make the world of magic public, Brittany and Everett are lead down a path of gruesome bodies, tested friendships, and magical discovery. In their pursuit to stop the murders before more people end up dead and a full-fledged panic ensues, Brittany is drawn into a world of magic, mirrors, and the impossible becoming possible.
