For Maggie's Sake

Deception, secrets and betrayal become the background for this action filled erotic romance. Though this story felt fairly short that may be due to so much going on that it feels as though the pages just rush by. The characters are terrific. Maggie is smart even if she was an abused wife. Joe believes in Maggie and knows that she couldn’t have been involved with the drug trade that went on in her home.

Together they bend rules and dodge bullets to figure out where the answers are to save Maggie’s life. I loved how this story, though part of a series, was independent of the series yet drug me into this world that Ms. Leigh developed. The relationship developed naturally and the sex scenes were awesome. This is truly and terrific story.

Maggie had no idea of all the things her husband had been involved in but she does know that she’s glad he’s dead. He was an abusive man who wanted to hurt his “best” friend, Joe. Marrying Maggie did that as Joe and Maggie had been in a relationship prior to her marriage. Joe can’t believe he’s been so betrayed by a friend but he also knows that there is no way Maggie was involved. Now he has to figure out how to keep her safe while they look for the information needed to put away the men Maggie’s husband were involved with. Can Joe keep it professional when he doesn’t feel professional towards Maggie?
