Driven to Distraction

Road to Love, #1

"Driven to Distraction" starts out like a nice sweet romance but anyone who has read Lori Foster before knows that this story will be anything except a nice traditional romance. Quickly road chases, mysterious packages and even a bit a danger become part of the story. Yes, romance gets tangled into it too even though Mary isn’t sure she even likes Brodie. The two main characters are almost direct opposites. Brodie does his job well but bending the rules is okay. Mary is strictly by the book and stays completely professional. Brodie is friendly and open. Each character brings something unique to the story making it even more interesting. The secondary characters are equally as fun. Though there are some serious scenes, there is humor threaded throughout too. I really enjoyed this first of a new series (Road to Love, #1) and can’t wait to read more.

The Story: Mary doesn’t know why her employer is insisting on hiring Brodie Crews as her new driver. So far, she’s not impressed but her employer won’t budge. Brodie was hungover and had a blonde draping herself over him. There is nothing professional about him at all. Maybe he will turn down the job! Brodie knows that taking the job Mary is offering is going to lead to bigger and better things so he agrees to take it. Now, if he can just get Mary to relax.

Book Blurb for Driven to Distraction

When desire gets this hot, you’d better buckle up…

Mary Daniels doesn’t let anything get in the way of her job acquiring rare artifacts for her wealthy boss. But this particular obstacle—huge, hard-muscled, unashamedly masculine—is impossible to ignore. Stuck in a cramped car with Brodie Crews for hours en route to their new assignment, Mary feels her carefully crafted persona—and her trademark self-control—is slipping, and she won’t allow it.

Brodie can’t imagine what secret in Mary’s past has left her so buttoned-up, though he’d dearly love to find out. Maybe then she’d trust him enough to explore their explosive chemistry. But he needs this job, so he’ll play by her rules and bide his time…until an enemy determined to outwit them strikes and he needs to get close—in every way—to protect her. Otherwise they could lose much more than a precious collectible. They could lose it all.
