Jenna has returned to Texas while divorcing her husband, Aaron. She's not sure what to do now. She use to love to cook and experiment but for the past few years she's scared to try. When she sees an empty store front on Main Street in Old Town Georgetown, she signs a lease having no idea how to run a store but with high expectations. Her first step is to hire an employee.

Violet's gut tells her that this is a good opportunity and Violet almost always follows her gut. She's been in retail for years and while she sees things Jenna probably isn't doing correctly, Jenna isn't exactly open to change. That changes very quickly when Jenna learns her way may not pay the bills!

As the women work together, they become friends sharing confidences, hopes and dreams. Violet learns Jenna is adopted but has a very loving relationship with her adopted parents. When Jenna's birth parents arrive unexpected, will this be a good thing or will Jenna be put in the middle of warring parents? Violet is looking to change the type of guy she dates and when a finance officer asks her out, she's a bit scared. Can she do normal? She's never done normal before.

This story has you sharing Jenna and Violet's triumphs and failures as they work on changing their lives into something better. These women have been knocked down by life before but they aren't out. Each would love that perfect man for them to love them but it's not that easy to find him! Each is scared to move out of their comfort zone but is willing to try as they find a support system they hadn't used or discovered before. Growth comes from change but can Jenna and Violet change as quickly as they may need to?

The characters in this story are awesome. They have things to work out but have the spirit to do so with grace and dignity. Jenna is from a privileged background but quickly learns that she doesn't have that much in common with her friends from childhood. Violet had a horrible pass and isn't sure if she deserves what she sees Jenna as having. The men in their lives are professionals but they have a past as well and one is just plain bad news. Jenna's birth parents are about as different from her adoptive parents as they could get. Talk about culture clash!

The drama throughout this story keeps you wanting to read. You become involved with the problems and issues. You want things to be perfect but know that there is something just not quite right. Tensions run high and then seem to get even higher. Will thing ever calm down?

I absolutely loved this book. I have to give a major warning though. I found myself so wrapped up in the characters and their problems; I almost forgot to do my work that I needed to do! I just didn't want to put this book down. And though the story may sound like all drama, there are some wonderful love stories intertwined in so many lives that you can't help but get a warm glow. Fantastic story that I have to recommend to anyone who loves a good story with a bit of romance and drama.
