The Darkest Kiss

Lords of the Underworld, Book 2)

This is the second book in the Lords of the Underworld series. In The Darkest Kiss we get to see inside Lucien. He is the incarnate of death and he is in charge of taking souls to hell. He doesn't do all the souls, but does his fair share. He hates the job, but that's what he has to do. It's his punishment for helping release bad souls from Pandora's box. When Anya, goddess of Anarchy and Lucien come together sparks fly. There is definitely a reaction between the two and it burns up the pages. When Anya is destined for hell will Lucien save her or will he complete his job and deliver her to fiery depths of hell. Will these two find that their greatest pleasure is with each other on earth?

I loved the first book in this series and was really looking forward to The Darkest Kiss and so forth. Quite often in series the first book turns out to be the best and slowly the series dies out. This is not the case with The Lords of the Underworld. I was enthralled by the second book and now can't wait to get my hands on the next one. Gena just gets better and better while staying hot as hell. Her heroes are tortured souls who need special women who can make them all feel oh so good. I'm so captivated by all the characters of this series and I'm looking forward to reading all their stories.

He is Death, destined to be her executioner.

Ordered by the gods to escort the tempestuous Anya's soul to hell, Lucien is an immortal warrior torn between duty and desire. For Anya sparks the flames of passion inside him as no one else ever has.

She is Anarchy, as beautiful as she is deadly.

There is nothing Anya wants more than to be Lucien's lover. His half-hearted attempts to kill her are exhilarating. His kisses - electrifying.

They should have been enemies but they become allies, traveling the world to find and destroy an ancient relic of the gods before it can be used against him -- separating them for eternity.
