Blood Sin

An Awakened By Blood Novel, #2

Elizabeth was a vampire hunter, then she became the Awakener when she accidentally awakened an ancient vampire when she cut her hand. The ancient by prophesy was supposed to gain strength by draining the Awakener of blood. However, Elizabeth threw a wrench in that plan when she told him she loved him and kissed him.

Now the ancient, Saloman has decided to keep her around a while, and may even have feelings for her as well, although he would never admit it.

Elizabeth is torn by her duties and responsibility to the hunters, and her feelings for Saloman, whom she should consider a monster and try to kill.

Can Elizabeth come to terms with Saloman wanting to rule everything, and believe that he wants to do it without a lot of blood shed? Or can she change his mind and get him to see things her way instead. Who is right and who is wrong? Is Elizabeth wrong to think all vampires are monsters and not to be trusted? Or is Saloman wrong to want to rule everything on his terms? And is it wrong to feel the way they do for each other?

And will Elizabeth's cousin who is the owner of what turns out to be Saloman's sword be able to come to terms with vampires being real, and be able to keep himself from getting killed when everyone wants the sword? Does the sword really have mystical powers like the legends say, or is that just a story?

This story is very well written and really gets you into the action. It presented me with lots of surprises. I am definitely going to be looking for the first book in this series to read more about these characters.
