J. Lynn is not new to the New Adult scene, but she certainly knows how to make the genre seem completely new to me! While I didn't find Be With Me to be as good as the first book in the series, it was still enjoyable and refreshing.
Teresa Hamilton is not used to regular college life as she is used to dancing and traveling all over for performances. But then her knee injury pushes her into a normal lifestyle for a little while. She has been in love with Jase Winstead, her brother's best friend, since she first met him when she was a teenager. After their one kiss last year he is all that she's been able to think about.
Jase doesn't want to get involved with any girl, and especially his best friend's little sister. He has too many responsibilities and secrets to let other people into his life. But he's always had a soft spot for Teresa and after his mistake of kissing her he can't get her off his mind.
Jase and Teresa try to play it cool and be friends, but there is a magnetic force at work pushing them together. Jase wants to help Teresa and try to protect her. There were many unexpected revelations and plenty of white-hot moments leaving readers on a roller-coaster.
This book is highly enjoyable and any fan of the New Adult genre should add it to their collection.
