Dead Memory

Dead Series

He appeared human, but he didn’t smell human. That should have been Tawny’s first indication that something wasn’t quite right when she found the unconscious man by the neighbor’s cabin. But that didn’t stop her from seeing what she could do to help him recover. Besides, he was naked and she liked what she saw. With her help he did recover but he doesn’t know who he is or where he came from. But spending time with Tawny is what he decides he wants to do. It’s too bad that finding out who he is and where he came from leads Tawny and her neighbors into another chapter of the battle with the demons who want to control the world.

Out for another romp with the always entertaining crew Ms. Leaf has put together the DEAD series for us. BJ and all “them city slicker friends of hers” return to join Tawny and David as they find themselves immersed in yet another chapter of battling demons. This time around we get to meet the local alpha and some of his werewolves from the area along with a demon who seems to be in charge but not really wanting to put his boss’s battle plans into action. The action is fast-paced, racy and funny with an ending that leaves a smile on the reader’s face along with several warm and tingly feelings racing all over.

Discovering an unconscious man who may be vampire, in the neighbor’s yard leads werewolf Tawny Howls down a love path that’s not going to make her father happy. She senses this man is different, but that doesn’t stop her attraction. Werewolves and vampires are traditional enemies, and it doesn’t help when he remembers nothing about his prior life.

Awakening to find a beautiful woman hovering over him, he remembers nothing of his past life. When Tawny decides to call him David, he’s fine with the name and the attention he receives from his nurse. But why does the scent of the prey she hunts excite him more than the food she cooks?

Can the strong attraction between a shifter and a vampire overcome years of distrust for each other’s species? Will the discovery of his true identity ensnare them in a battle that endangers their lives, in an effort to save mankind from Demon rule?
