Sally Brandle jumps right into the action with this detailed romantic suspense. The chemistry and connection are apparent from the first words spoken between Miranda Whitley and FBI agent Grant Morley. I loved their awkward meeting and couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. I wasn’t expecting it to be something so drastic, but I enjoyed witnessing Miranda head off in search of Grant for help. The action and adventure was fast paced but not rushed and while it made for an intense beginning to their relationship it seemed that it wasn’t the cause of their mutual attraction. I enjoyed getting to know Grant and his family and slowly understanding Miranda’s apprehensions. While I liked all the supporting characters in this story, both the good and the bad, I absolutely adored Miranda’s four-legged friend. I’m looking forward to reading more about some of these people and getting to know them better. If you like your love stories packed with suspense and sweetness this is one for you. I can’t guarantee you won’t cry but I can say the adventure is definitely worth it.
