What a fantastic book to read!!!!! I was really impressed at how easy the story was to read and that the author was able to capture my interest right away. The story was absolutely believable in a crazy sort of way where Lydia finds out a huge secret about her fiancé moments before the ceremony. A secret that makes Lydia change her plans of walking down the aisle to marry into a rich, stuck up family. She decides to escape out the window wearing a wedding gown only to find herself climbing a fence, breaking into a house, hiding out in a tub, and finally being found by a sexy man attempting to take a shower! Yikes! A man by the name of Vaughn who is very naked of course and she is sitting in his tub wet wearing a wedding dress.
Lydia comes to find out that not only does Vaughn know her lying ex-fiancé, Chris, but shared how everyone knew all about Chris’ so called secret! Everyone meaning they were in a small town and in a small town everyone knows about everyone’s business except the newcomer. What’s worse is that Chris’ family was all about image and he could not let anyone know what was really the truth.
Lydia and Vaughn end up spending a lot of time together. Vaughn is back in town for a short period of time. Vaughn makes Lydia feel sexy and confident about herself when Chris did not. She finds herself helping out at the local bar with the people who work in the bar that are family to Vaughn. Vaughn spends a lot of time trying to get his head on straight since he is a superstar.
Again, this book was awesome! I loved this story, even though Lydia’s original situation was a bit of déjà vu for me. The story was fun with lots of twists and turns. The characters are all well developed. The setting was described in such a way that the reader could feel that they were right there in the “Dive” bar or in the tub with Lydia, looking up at Vaughn. I am rating this story a whopping 5++++++ stars.
Love?on the rocks….
The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a broken hearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that come with her.
