The Wickedest Lord Alive

The Wickedest Lord Alive is an enjoyable read. I liked how the author wrote about her characters. I'm considering finding another book by Christina Brooke to see if it is similarly written. The only thing that tripped me up a bit was that it was a bit slow and drawn out.

The Story:

The only thing that Lizzie wants is to live out her life in private, away from everyone. She wants to live peacefully even if it means away from the husband who she believes doesn’t love her. When her husband comes to fetch her, because he needs an heir, she doesn’t want to let anyone know she is married and that she has her memory. She wants to life in peace!

But circumstances are what they are. And Xavier wants to do the opposite. She ends up with no choice but to go with him back home. She keeps up the rouse that they are falling in love and are planning on getting married instead of telling everyone that they are already married.

She always wanted to marry for love and expected nothing less. However since they are already married she doesn’t want anything to do with him nor give him an heir until he loves her like she loves him.
