The Scoundrel's Seduction

House of Trent: Book 3

Haymore never disappoints with her memorable and sexy characters. She produces stories that readers can devour and her plots are suspenseful. She’s brought me pleasurable reading for many years!

I feel the need to confess how much I loved The Scoundrel's Seduction. I read the entire novel in less than a day's worth of time and I found that I could not put the actual book down even for a solid minute without having to return to see the events as they unfolded throughout the pages.

For the longest time I have been reading Haymore's novels. Some I’ve truly loved and others not as much. But the House of Trent series is by far my favorite series penned by Haymore to date! What drew me into the continuation of the series was that each novel or novella contains all the traits that I look for in a historical romance.

The traits I look for most are a sturdy and yet handsome hero. A hero this is often times tortured from his own life's mistakes. I love a heroine that can be paired uniquely with the hero. Their chemistry and romance are instantly present and that chemistry needs to be there from beginning till the end. Romance is important, I look for strong novels that can present such romantic ties exchanged between the characters from start to finish. A well thought out plot with added suspense is a bonus for me and Haymore manages to deliver all these things with the The Scoundrel's Seduction.

Elise or Lady Dunthrope is desperate to escape her handsome captive having witnessed the man murdering her husband.
