Once again, Ms. Karlsen delivers. Byzantine Gold is full of beautiful scenery, a tension-filled plot, and strong characters worth rooting for. Set mostly on the island of Cyprus with the backdrop a nautical archaeological find, Byzantine Gold is more than a well-researched, well-written novel. It's informative, engaging on many levels, and well-worth picking up.
