Another charming Fool's Gold tale is told in Susan Mallery's Marry Me at Christmas!
Mallery sweeps us into the Fool's Gold holiday festivities and as the snow starts to fall, love begins to bloom between Johnny and Madeline. The familiar faces of the Fool's Gold residents appear, making this book feel all the more familiar and homey, and a nice touch for that holiday feeling. One of the great things about these novels is seeing how the other residents progress from book to book and feeling as if you are right there alongside them. Some of the Fool’s Gold characters are quite entertaining! The plots, anecdotes, and traditions mentioned in previous books are interwoven seamlessly into this newest story.
Mallery's scenes are vivid and well-described so that you feel as if you have stepped into the streets yourself. I particularly liked her descriptions of Johnny's home, I could picture it so clearly! The dialogue flows well and is fun. Some moments had me laughing out loud! Johnny has a traumatic past that he must work through, and Mallery does a wonderful job of keeping this celebrity realistic and down-to-earth, yet quite charming at the same time. Madeline is a sweet and pleasant character who is in the odd situation of working with her celebrity crush. She overcomes any awkwardness by being honest and straightforward, which is makes her relatable. As usual, Mallery keeps the plot moving at a good pace. The story is filled with amusing dialogue, entertaining characters, and sweet moments.
Marry Me at Christmas is a charming, cozy read and the perfect way to begin the holiday season!

To bridal boutique owner Madeline Krug, organizing a Christmas wedding sounds like a joy—until she finds out she'll be working closely with the gorgeous brother of the bride, movie star Jonny Blaze. How will a small-town girl like her keep from falling for the world's sexiest guy? Especially with mistletoe lurking around every corner!
Jonny came to Fool's Gold looking for normal, not for love. Happily-ever-after only happens in the movies. Still, nothing about this quirky town is quite what he expected, and "ordinary" Madeline is the most extraordinary woman he's ever met. Refreshingly honest, disarmingly sweet. Achingly beautiful.
Planning the perfect wedding leads to candlelit dinners and strolls through snow-covered streets. And Madeline finds Jonny in real life even more captivating than her celebrity crush. But will the action star be brave enough to risk his heart and step into the role of a lifetime?
