“How to Train Your Knight” is a delightful yet, sometimes, heartbreaking read. Any wedding that starts with a bride bound and gagged is sure be an adventure. Ann is everything a heroine should be and more. Her courage, loyalty and intelligence are refreshing. Marcus is easily her match and their journey is a difficult and convoluted one. They are magic together. The dialog is well written and the story moves along at a nice pace. I loved the detail and intrigue of the plot. Ann and Marcus are so right for each other. Their friends and family make wonderful secondary characters and add to the rich tapestry of this love story. At times, the author brought me to tears with her words. This is the first book by Ms. Alden that I have read but it won't be the last. A very enjoyable historical romance!
