Her Forgotten Betrayal

Clandestine, #1

Romantic suspense is not usually a genre I choose but the blurb had me hooked. I liked the characters, the tension and the way the story played out. It wasn't much of a surprise to find out who the villain was, however, it didn't diminish my enjoyment of the story. The author still penned a taut and edgy thriller. There was enough of an unknown factor to keep things very interesting. In particular, I liked the flashbacks that helped Shaw remember her past. Cole treads a very fine line in his dealings with Shaw and there are some very steamy moments. I did read this book in one sitting. I kept expecting to encounter a lull in the action so I could put the book down for the night, but one never came. I highly recommend this captivating read and I'll certainly be reading more from Ms. DeStefano.
