When ex-cop Rylan Frederickson decides to take a housekeeping position at a beautiful Montana ranch to escape the traumatic loss she just experienced, she never imagines that she’ll be extremely attracted to her boss, Cole Haywood. Not to mention, Cole has a young daughter, so clearly there’s just no time or room for anything other than work. But as she’s settling into Paint River Ranch, things are falling into place for her in more ways than one. Not being able to deny the scorching chemistry that flows between them, Rylan and Cole make some powerful fireworks in the bedroom together. Are they able to keep their emotions in check enough so they don’t get into deep with each other? Or do they both decide to take a chance on a future together?
I just loved this story! The characters were extremely believable and the backdrop of Montana was breathtaking from how the author described it. Right from the start, I wanted to see Rylan and Cole take a chance on their feelings for each other. I knew it was a huge gamble for the both of them, but isn’t love always a gamble anyway? I wanted them together because I felt they both deserved happiness and a fresh start in their lives. Not to mention, the chemistry between them was so hot I swore I had steam coming off my e-reader screen. I highly recommend this story and Ms. Otto now has a new fan following her. Don’t pass this one up!
After taking a job on a quiet Montana dude ranch, ex-cop Rylan Frederickson finds herself surrounded by unbelievably sexy cowboys. Too bad the one she wants is her boss...and the single dad of a four-year-old. It doesn’t matter anyway, because after a recent tragedy, there’s simply no more room in her heart.
Letting a new woman into their life is the last thing Cole Haywood wants for him and his daughter, Birdie. But as Rylan’s presence at Paint River Ranch breathes new life into his family he can’t ignore his growing attraction.
When the sparks between them turn into fireworks in bed, Rylan’s torn between the family she’s lost and the one she may have found. Now she must decide if something that feels this good is worth the risk.
