Beneath an Irish Sky

Jack Stewart, a successfully wealthy businessman, must face the fact that he has a twenty-year-old son named Luke that he has never met before. It’s so unbelievable to Jack that he seriously believes he’s not Luke’s father. Ironically, both men are very stubborn and it doesn’t seem that a happy ending will be achieved anytime soon between them. The only thing that really irked me about Jack was instead of dealing with the issue he was faced with, his answer to the problem was walking away and not dealing with it. To me, this significantly took away from his character development. It was at this point that I felt that Luke was better off without Jack being in his life at all. Overall, the storyline was entertaining and I loved reading about the setting of the story. One point I really found fascinating was that the author’s name, Isabelle Connor, was actually a joint venture of two authors by the names of Liv Thomas and Val Oltenau. This is one story you definitely should look into.

No matter how much success Jack Stewart has, the one thing he just can’t wrap his head around is that he has a twenty-year-old son named Luke. Not believing this guy is really his son, naturally he doesn’t trust Luke. But instead of dealing with the situation at hand, Jack decides to walk away from it and not try to find a solution to the matter. Can Jack and Luke work through this life changing situation? Or do they decide to go their separate ways again?

Book Blurb for Beneath an Irish Sky

Jack Stewart thought he’d put the past behind him. On the surface, he has everything – success, money, a big house and he is never short of an attractive woman by his side, but a tragic road accident shatters Jack’s world.

Raised as an Irish Traveller, Luke Kiernan hasn’t had it easy, and when he wakes in a Dublin hospital to find the man he’s hated since childhood at his bedside, he’s hungry for revenge.

Two very different worlds collide, bringing new dangers, exposing past deceits, and unearthing dark family secrets buried long ago. But from tragedy springs the promise of a fresh start with two women who are intent on helping Jack and Luke mend their lives.

Can new love heal old wounds, or are some scars there for good?
