Ms. Edwards delivers a well written book that is a different theme than I have read before. She ties together the story of good and evil and makes the reader aware that just because someone is fallen does not necessarily make them evil. The plot was well put together and the characters seemed very real, with their own problems, insecurities and hopes. I was quickly drawn into the storyline and felt an affinity for the characters. Soul Weaver is the first book in her new series Wicked Kin.
Chloe was in a terrible accident, in which she was nearly killed. Nathaniel is a fallen angel who harvests souls of those who are slated for Hell. Thanks to Nathanial’s interference on the night of her accident Chloe is completely changed mentally and spiritually, her soul has been changed and little did Nathaniel realize what had been done until he is called upon to retrieve her soul, which was never supposed to be harvested for Hell. Nathanial takes time off from his duties and while he does that he is determined to find a way to save Chloe. As they spend time together they are drawn together. As they develop feelings for each other they are soon drawn into a world she would have never believed in and they must battle for a chance to save their love.
Since the accident that nearly took her life, Chloe suffers from acute agoraphobia. Living alone above her family's bookstore, she spends restless nights terrified by strange visions . . . until a mysterious stranger appears and offers her salvation. Chloe is drawn to the ethereal, gorgeous Nathaniel-but her haunted soul warns her there is more to him than meets the eye.
An archangel who roams Earth collecting souls of the newly departed, Nathanial is the sole witness to the accident that should have taken Chloe's life. Seduced by the purity of her soul, he defies Providence by saving her life. But his attempt at kindness marks Chloe for damnation, and makes her an unwitting pawn in a game of unholy ambition. Now together they must fight the demons of Hell itself-for a love that defies the boundaries of Heaven and Earth. 86,000 words
