This book was really interesting, I couldn't stop reading it. It kept me on edge through the whole thing.
Danger Zone is a romantic thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end. Ellie is a stuntwoman who is very good at her job. She lives with her best friend and sister (not by blood) Ashley. It’s convenient but it’s really convenient for Ellie because she can’t read. She figured out she had dyslexia when she was in high school. Ashley helps her with her bills and other paperwork she needs to fill out. Lately she’s decided that she wants to try and be a race car driver. This woman is courageous and hardly anything scares her. She lost her 16 year old brother when she was eight and her parents just kind of blanked out after that. Ashley and her mother have been there for Ellie ever since. They are her family.
Quinn is tired of being in charge of their company. When his father died he gave the company to Quinn and his brother Mac. Well now Quinn wants to sell, even though he has no idea what he wants to do with the rest of his life. He meets Ellie on set and right away she catches his attention, but it’s not until later when they meet in a bar that his attraction for her really hits him in the face like a sledge hammer. It takes a lot of convincing on his part, but he finally gets a date out of Ellie and their relationship takes off.
With Ellie and Quinn getting to know one another they are also hit with what they assumed are accidents. Somebody is not happy about Quinn selling the company. They think they deserve it and Quinn’s ruining things. To set things right they arrange the “accidents” in the hope that Quinn dies and gets pushed out of the way.
Ellie and Quinn’s life stories were interesting and showed just how strong they are. I personally am glad that Ellie got over her little quirk, listened to Ashley and gave Quinn a chance. It worked out for everyone and Quinn got a new family.
In her ten-year career as a stuntwoman, Ellie Morgan has experienced her share of thrills. None compares to the rush of being behind the wheel of a race car for her latest movie shoot. Certain she was born to race, Ellie's ready to shift gears—but a secret from her past holds her back.
Quinn Reynolds is tired of being in the driver's seat of his family's company, Formula Racing Design. He's ready to sell—if he can get his co-owner and brother, Mac, to agree. Quinn's not sure what he wants to do with his future, but almost as soon as he meets Ellie, he knows he wants her to be part of it.
Though Ellie tries to resist her attraction to the charming businessman, she's quickly in danger of losing her heart. But after narrowly escaping "accidents" both on and off the set, it becomes clear that getting involved with Quinn could be downright deadly...
