Isabelle went to her hometown to bury her parents because her father went crazy, shot his wife, and then he shot himself. Isabelle then decided to move to the hometown, from California, to live there and create specialized purses to sell on the Internet. The hometown people consider her to be the "town's bad girl" because of what her father did to her mother. Almost all of the town people will not have anything to do with her except for a few people who will for example the sheriff. The sheriff, Rick (Hutch), will talk to her because he used to date Isabelle when they were teenagers. However, things are turning bad. Someone has started killing the rest of her family that is still living. First, they poison her alcoholic uncle to death and now they are after Isabelle for her money. Will Isabelle be able to stay alive and find out what happen to her family?
Truly Madly was an enjoyable read that will keep you guessing who the killer is till the very end.
This was good short mystery.
A broken heart drove her away--a family tragedy brought her back.
After her parents' murder/suicide, Isabelle Connelly returns to her home town to settle their estate. But a year later, with her business concluded, Isabelle still hasn't left, even though she has every reason to. The townspeople shun her because of her family's history of mental instability, she hasn't gotten over her feelings for the man who shattered her heart, and now she's a suspect in a murder and mysterious house fire.
Someone is out to frame Isabelle for the crimes. Failing that, it appears they plan to make Isabelle their next victim.
