Boadicea's Legacy

Montehue, Book 3

Ela Montahue is resolved to save her family from an unsavory king, even if it means losing her healing powers. She is to marry only for love, for if she marries for any other reason she will lose all of her supernatural healing abilities. Though she learns what a despicable, evil worm Thomas de Havel is before solidifying a betrothal, he is determined to have her, by any means.

Osbert Edybean is a landless knight, who is honor bound to save the Lady Ela. But his faith has him wary of her gift, is she a witch? Or is she just a lovely woman, who has enchanted him? Ela and Os have just this chance to find love, for their past-lives are intertwined, but never fulfilled. Can they succeed this time?

If you like medieval books, BOADICEA'S LEGACY is an enchanting tale not to be missed. Whereas the author has successfully intertwined a medieval romance with supernatural tones, and a trip into Boadicea's ancient fight for freedom from the Roman invaders. I have fallen in love with Traci E. Hall's writing. Her plotting and characterization is strong and satisfying, I had a difficult time putting this book down, as I wanted to know more about the characters and what their futures held for them.

I loved Ela's free spirited ways and watching them conflict with Os's more conservative values. Os was the epitome of honor, loyalty and spirituality. He stuck to his values, not allowing anything to compromise him...though Ela evoked a passion in him, that caused him to learn the world was not so black and white, that the lines are sometimes a little blurry.

BOADICEA'S LEGACY is a very satisfying read, and I can't wait until Ms. Hall's next book comes out, as she has become a definite auto buy.

Book Blurb for Boadicea's Legacy

Ela Montahue is a talented sorceress descended from Boadicea, the legendary warrior queen of the Iceni tribe. She has the miraculous power to heal but, years before her birth, Boadicea issued a decree that Ela must marry for love not political practicality, or she will forfeit her supernatural power. Marrying Lord Thomas de Havel, the vile landowner with connections to King John's court, would benefit Ela's family tremendously, but would strip her of her miraculous gift. When Ela refuses the repulsive marriage proposal of Lord de Havel, he abducts her and wages battle against her father in retaliation. Knight Osbert Edyvean, who has been paid to find Boadicea’s spear, rescues Ela instead and must fight his overwhelming passion for a beautiful lady he wants to protect and love.
