Libby Jones knows she’s stayed too long in one place but she likes working at the Ugly Stick Saloon and she’s made friends here. It’s going to hurt to move on after 8 months but Libby is sure that her father and his bodyguards will find her soon and force her to return to a life she doesn’t want. Libby knows that she’ll be giving her friend and owner of the saloon, Audrey, her resignation by the end of the week. In the meantime though Libby’s going to enjoy watching the Lone Wolf twins, Luke and Mark.
Luke and Mark are identical twins but they aren’t identical in temperament. One is serious while the other is more impulsive. They are sure of themselves and complement each other. One designs buildings and the other is the builder. They love to dance and enjoy the company of pretty women yet they know when they settle down they want one woman to share. This is going to have to be a special woman. They’d like to get to know Libby better. Could she be that special woman?
Libby has been turning the Lone Wolf brothers down for months but now that she’s leaving she’s thinking of enjoying one night with them. When the one night turns into more, can she still leave?
What happens when her father shows up? Can Libby stand strong or will her father win?
This is the second book in a series about the women who work in the Ugly Stick Saloon. The first book is about Audrey and the Lone Wolf brother’s older brother, Jackson. The twins played a big role in the first book and Audrey and Jackson are in this one. However, each can be read independently of the other but both are so hot and interesting that you wouldn’t want to.
The characters in this story are wonderful. Libby grew up the good girl who did what she was told. When she finally rebelled she was in her early 20’s and though she has been on her own for 2 years she still feels like she needs to do what her father wants. For a bad biker chick Libby is pretty wimpy. Mark and Luke are hot sexy cowboys that are more than their good looks. They may appear to be hard playing guys but they are also hard working. The descriptions of all of the characters give them a reality and dimension making them feel as if they really are in Texas.
The descriptions of the town, saloon and ranch are done so you feel as if you are there. The saloon is rowdy and full of fun loving people though fights do break out. The ranch is wide open with dips and rises. Towns are far apart with only one real road in or out. Everything in this imaginary place is thought out and brought into reality.
Of course on of the most important parts of this story is the hot sex. It is definitely hot with both men knowing what they are doing and Libby is loving every minute of it. Those wide open spaces give the trio plenty of private places to enjoy themselves but they don’t always need privacy. Audrey and Jackson invite Libby to join them while she waits on Luke and Mark and though she turns them down she knows that option is always open. Sexy men with hot moves make for some awesome love scenes that will get you hot and bothered.
As for Libby’s dad…….let’s just say that things don’t always turn out how he expects them too and finding himself being ignored isn’t normal.
I couldn’t wait until this story came out. I read the first book and promptly fell in love with the fun loving twins. I couldn’t wait to see what they would be up to next. I pretty much envy Libby and can easily daydream about being her. What can I say, Mark and Luke just push my buttons.
Okay, thinking about the overall story and not just the hot, sexy men. It was good. I could see where Libby wouldn’t want to be found by her father. I could see her not staying any one place. I enjoyed seeing her grow into her own person. I liked the interactions between all of the characters.
Basically, I loved this story and this series. I can’t wait until I can visit the Ugly Stick Saloon again and see what everyone is up to.
This biker chick longs for the open road…until two Kiowa cowboys shift her gears.
Eight months ago, Libby Jones parked her motorcycle in Temptation, Texas, to work at the Ugly Stick Saloon. Since then she’s grown to love the bar’s feeling of family, but now it’s time to hit the road. The longer she stays, the greater the risk her father’s investigators will track her down.
Yet she can’t resist taking the Gray Wolf twins up on their offer to go riding on their ranch. Even though getting involved should be the last thing on her mind.
Ever since Libby landed at the Ugly Stick, Mark and Luke Gray Wolf have been trying to capture her attention. She's blown them off at every turn, until now. Their plan: expose her to the delights only twins can provide—and persuade her to stay for the long haul.
Libby’s longing for a life she can’t have makes her delay her departure just a heartbeat too long. Her hesitation gives her past time to walk through the saloon door, and all hell to break loose. Now the twins have a fight on their hands to teach her that being free doesn’t mean she can’t let go of her heart.
Warning: Welcome back to the Ugly Stick Saloon. Pull up a chair and set a spell, you're gonna wanna hear this tale about two hot Kiowa twins and a leather-clad biker chick. Multiple partners, a little BDSM, and one skinny-dippin' scene so hot it’ll make the pages sizzle!
