Olivia Hammond loves spending time with her friends. So much so that three years ago her and her girlfriends went to Mexico for a vacation and they all purchased “miraculous” woven bracelets. As the legend goes, if you made a wish when you tied it on, it would come true when the bracelet fell off. Both Mariah’s and Paige’s have fallen off and had their wishes come true, but Livvy hasn’t had the same luck.
Ironically, one friend that all the girls befriended was a fairy named Davina who helped the wishes to come true. Now Davina is trying to work with Livvy in getting her wish to finally come true also. Davina is on probation right now so in order for her to fully help Livvy out she must go buy some magic on the black market. Doing something like this isn’t recommended because black market magic can really screw up everything in the process. Not having any other option open to her, Davina buys some for Livvy.
When Davina helps cast the magical wish for Livvy, she involves Livvy’s next door neighbor, Joe Kimball, who is home from the war and bound to a wheelchair. Livvy thinks he’s so sexy and would love to get to know him better so this is the perfect opportunity to do just that. But as Divina uses the bad magic, things start changing for both Livvy and Joe. At first the magic turns things out great for the both of them, but soon things start going horribly wrong for them too.
Can Davina fix her predicament and make things run smoothly again? Or does she have to call in some reinforcements from her fairy world? Do things ever work out for Livvy and Joe?
I loved everything about this whole magical storyline - from the fairies to the magic used. The story was extremely creative and thoroughly entertaining. I found myself hoping that everything would turn out right for Livvy and Joe and I kept my fingers crossed that Davina would be able to correct the bad magic she had resorted to using in the first place. I loved Livvy and Joe being together and I felt so bad that all those crazy things were happening to them as a result of the bad magic Davina used. Overall, I really loved this story and would highly recommend it. I eagerly look forward to reading more stories from this talented author.
Livvy thought she lost her chance for a Happily Ever After when she dismissed the wish fairy who knocked on her door, so when a prime specimen of masculinity appears on her front lawn one stormy night, she can’t quite believe it. Like a prince in distress, he needs her kiss to bring him out of his enchanted sleep.
After a war injury left him paralyzed, Joe Kimball never expected to walk again, but when he regains the use of his legs thanks to his sexy neighbor, he can’t argue when she insists the credit belongs to a wish fairy. Nor does he want to. Arguing is the last thing on his mind now that he is a whole man again.
Unfortunately, a few days of hot sex do not a fairy-tale ending make, and as the magic becomes increasingly volatile, Joe and Livvy realize there’s much more at stake than just their happiness.
