Generous Fire

It is a naughty and thoroughly pleasurable experience to watch proper Latin teacher Miss Caroline Tisdale come undone and give into her secret attraction to her equally repressed headmaster Mr. Topper in Olivia Waite's erotic novella Generous Fire. Though the story is short, Waite gives a vivid sense of setting and her descriptions perfectly capture the essence of a Victorian era English boys' school on the eve of the Christmas holiday. Her descriptions of her characters are equally deft. Miss Tisdale and Mr. Topper are vibrant and easy to care about. Their inclination to restrain their feelings is believable and fits with the period, but their curiosity about each other is tantalizing. The explosion of passion between them, including the use of a rather intriguing and intimate mechanical device, is sexy and, yes, naughty fun on the page. I enjoyed Olivia Waite's story immensely and only found myself wishing it was a longer novel.

Book Blurb for Generous Fire

Olivia Waite's original debut novella, now with a brand-new cover and bonus story for returning readers!

Everyone at the academy knows Latin instructress Carolin Tisdale for her plain gowns and severe demeanor. Her headmaster, however, is about to unravel a bit of her mystery. Mr. Topper has always been able to balance passion and propriety--but once a student prank brings Miss Tisdale to his attention, his desire begins to chip away at his resolve.

Miss Tisdale has spent years keeping her wayward tendencies firmly in check, despite the temptations posed by the dark-haired headmaster. She clings to her control even as the thought of submitting to him makes her pulse race and her imagination run rampant. But when she agrees to help Mr. Topper test a mysterious new medical device--a machine whose effects are more pleasurable than pharmaceutical--she comes to realize that self-control and sexual satisfaction are not mutually exclusive after all.
