A Wolfish Scandal

I enjoy a good werewolf romance, and having it combined with the historical genre made this a novel with a premise that I just had to read. Ms. Sookoo's solid writing skills, made this novel one to remember. The reader can fully understand why Lyndal wanted to get away from her boring and restrictive life complete with her horrible family and kick up her heels. Grey's scandalous plan to have a group of woman compete for his attention, un-chaperoned, in his home (an Edwardian version of the Batchelor) was the perfect vehicle for Lyndal to enjoy throwing off convention.

I loved that Lyndal came out of her shell, and came into her own. If you had only a short time to live, wouldn't you want to go out with a bang and not a whimper?

I couldn't help but admire Grey for realizing very quickly that Lyndal was very different class of female in comparison to the avaricious, shallow women who answered his ad. I also enjoyed how the whole situation made Grey come to realize that he didn't know everything about women.

I certainly wouldn't hesitate to read another book by Ms. Sookoo. This is a solidly written romance that tugged at my heartstrings.
