After suffering the loss of her father, CPA Toni travels to his home on Cole and Josh's farm. Cole, after losing his mother and father in a car accident, has retreated from everyone but Josh. He will go to town for supplies but remains on the farm the rest of the time. He and Josh have arrangement with Chelsea, a local girl who really likes Cole's dominating ways and the games the boys play. Josh is immediately enamored with Toni and hopes that she will help Cole love again. Toni is conflicted because she really likes both men and doesn't know what to do about it. She and Josh fall in love and she thinks she's in love with Cole as well. Josh couldn't be happier with that. Cole, for his part, fears what he is feeling for Toni and rejects Toni in a most basic, fundamental way. She leaves the farm and goes back to the city. Josh is devastated when he gets home to find Toni gone.
BRAIDED DESIRE is an angst filled and emotionally charged story. Both Toni and Cole have suffered a great deal of loss and they both are wary to love again. Josh feels so deeply for both that he is absolutely floored when Toni leaves. Szot creates an emotional riptide with Braided Desire.
Josh and Cole live alone on an isolated, six-hundred-acre farm. Chelsea, a local girl from town, visits them sometimes to help them keep their needs met. She thrives off Cole's dominant nature. The meaningless menage is not enough for Josh, who wants a woman who can help him reach Cole emotionally. Who can help him win Cole's love.
When Toni arrives at the farm, she quickly discovers the men's arrangement with Chelsea, and that it's not satisfying Josh at all. As Josh and Toni's attraction and connection grows, Josh becomes sure she's the right fit for both of them. He knows she's the one who can help him break through the ice around Cole's heart. But first, he's got to find a tactful way to get rid of Chelsea, and then, he's got to convince both Cole and Toni that Toni wants them both.
