Could you please start by telling us a little about yourself?

Thanks for having us! Well Audra and I are sisters, and write Dark romance and Urban fantasy romance. We are published by Mardi Gras Publishing, Phaze and Forbidden Publications. We are in our 20's. and Audra lives in Scotland, and I (Stella) live in NY.

If you could be one of your characters - Who would you be? And why?

Well If I had my way I would be Astrid. Shes got two of the worlds sexiest men as her own. I mean Cash AND Fallon. yummy!

What's your favorite genre to read?

We are both really into the Paranormal genre, though we do read other things.

Who or what influences you when you write?

My biggest influence is Poppy Z Brite. Shes fantastic and shes the reason why I started writing the way I do.

What do you do on a typical writing day?

Hmmm. Well because we are about 5 hours apart, our writing time is limited to after 5pm est to about 1am est. In that time frame we usually get about 7k done, maybe more. Its pretty busy for us.

When you have writer's block how do you break free?

We haven't really had writers block yet. Usually, since we work on about 5 things at once, we get an itch for something, then something else bites and we work on that. It's a very hodge podge way to work but it gets the job done.

Can you please give us a sneak peek at any of your upcoming books?

Sneak Peak? LOL. Well We have Silk and Steel coming May 12 th from MGP and a short story called Lady Luck with Phaze for their anthology on May 14 th . That's going to be a busy week for us. Heres the blurbs for both:

Silk and Steel: Goaded into doing a favor for his best friend, Arcady Morrison, Incubus and Hit man, Enters Russia even though he's got a price on his head to find His Best friend's only living family, His cousin Alice. Given a pass for safe passage by the second prince of the Conglacio, Prince Dimitri, Arcady thinks this will be an easy in and out job, After all it's the Princes Brothels he's got to search in order to find the girl, The prince being the premiere Pimp in Russia. If she's in Russia, she's in Dimitri's Employ. Stuck in a cold and frozen land, he's about to meet the girl of his dreams.

Lady Luck: Behind every great man, there's a woman. Men that sit in seats of inscrutable power often have the women in their lives to thank for the privilege, and these women are a force unto themselves. As Jenai, a race of Female Genies, these women bring luck and good fortune to the men in their lives. Once such Woman is Nina Skye, a stripper. When she meets Jake, a sexy down on his luck grifter and Opacus,a bargained shadow demon, the attractions fly. Jake is beyond attracted to the sexy stripper, the exact woman he had been going to see dance for a month straight. Little does he know this woman is about to make all his wishes come true. She agrees to help him seek his fortune. The Venue? The pit floor at the MGM grand. The game? the international poker championship.

Please tell us what you have planned next?

2007 is a busy year for us. We have 8 books out this year, Silk and Steel and Frost and Flame in the Eververse Series, Fire in His Eyes, Deep Water and Moongardens in our Dragon Elementals series, Gifts and London for the Holidays in our Djinn series, the first in the American Satyr Series called Of Crimson and Collars, and a short story called Lady Luck.

In 5 years, where do you see yourself? -In general and in you're writing career

Ooh I hope a NY contract is! I would love that! But Audra is getting married next year, so we might have some rug rats soon. and I think moving south as well. Its all up in the air for us and its all wonderful possibilities. We are just trying to keep our heads out of the clouds.

Who is your perfect hero? And why?

Out of our characters? Im a big fan of Drake. Hes an enigma and such a powerful character.. even though he starts out a complete jerk when you first meet him, his book is truly breathtaking.

What do you do for inspiration?

I listen to music. I love it and its another outlet for me. Though truth be told, I get inspiration everywhere I go.

Is there a genre of book you would like to write but haven't yet?

Not yet I don't think. Though I would love to write something completely off the map.

What type of book have you always wanted to write? Something that NY would pick up. LOL

What kind of research do you do for your books? Do you enjoy the research process?

Well a lot of our work comes from our own heads but we do do research on locales, latin names, cars, pretty much anything that is part of this physical plane. its great to make up your own stuff though.

Do deadlines help or hinder your muse?

Well I think it helps us to buckle down and actually finish something, though to be honest, we have deadlines now and they aren't helping out personal lives. so I think it's both sides of the coin.

When did you first decide to submit your work? Please, tell us what or who encouraged you to take this big step.

That's an easy one. We decided to start subbing out after a few friends suggested we do. It wasn't easy, and we were turned down a lot, but we have a ew places we are and we couldn't be happier.

What would you like to tell your readers?

Well, thanks for actually taking the time to pick us up and read what we write. Its hard as an author to have fans, and we love to hear from the ones that like us.

What is the best and worst advice you have ever received?

Hmmm. The best would be to never compromise what you write. There's a time and place for everything and you and your writing will have its time.

The worst was to work with someone that had no idea what they were doing. That's All I'm saying about that.

Do you outline your books or just start writing?

It's a little of both I think. Its more a question of what the characters wanna do, but the majority is just writing and seeing where it goes from there.

Do you belong to a critique group? If so, how does this help or hinder you?

No we don't.

What was your first published work and when was it published?

Wishes was our first book. It was published April 2006 with Phaze and is the first story in the Djinn series.
