Hi Kelli! Thanks for coming over to Night Owl Reviews. Please tell us about your book "Loving a Wild Stranger".

"Loving a Wild Stranger" is a full-length pioneer-wilderness romance is set in the Michigan Territory and blends adventure with a sensual love story. In a moment of desperation, Kathleen Stanton flees her pampered life in Kingston, New York and ends up stranded in a small town in the Michigan Territory. Out of money and forced to rely on her instincts, she impersonates a handsome stranger’s mail-order bride.

What should readers expect from you titles?

My romances vary in genre (historical, contemporary, gay, fantasy, and paranormal) and heat level (from mild to super-hot). I enjoy creating unique and interesting characters and putting them into unusual situations. Writing in different romance genres lets me explore a variety of settings, types of characters, and storylines.

What's your writing process like?

Before I start writing, I make an outline of the book and include key scenes, snippets of dialogue, and other details. Once the outline is finished, I sit down with a pad of paper and a pen and start writing. (Yes, believe it or not, I write all of my books in longhand and type them up once the first draft is finished.) As I write, I add or delete scenes as needed - or sometimes the characters will do something unexpected and take a scene in a different direction. Once the first draft is done, I type it and edit/revise as I go. Then I set the book aside for at least a month before I go back and make another set of revisions.

What's next for you as an author?

Last year I started re-releasing my romances previously published with Amber Quill Press. I'm continuing that in 2017. Look for Midsummer Night's Delights, Midwinter Night's Delights, and Ultimate Night's Delights (a super-hot erotic trilogy) coming in February. I'll also be re-releasing Four Days with Jack and a few other titles. I also have a new (as yet untitled) historical romance in the works!

If you could have dinner with an author, who would it be?

I'd like to have dinner with Stephen King. I know it sounds funny for a romance author to say that, but I also write horror stories and I've been a fan of the horror genre forever. It would be fun to talk about horror movies, movies and books in general, and anything else that cropped up. We both like a few of the same musicians and have a similar sense of humor. It certainly would be a memorable event!

If you could travel to another time, would you choose past or future or would you stick where you are at? And Why?

I'd certainly like to travel back in time and visit a lot of places - but once I was finished, I would come back to the present. I'd visit ancient Egypt, the old West, Medieval UK, and about a dozen other places in different historical periods.

What technological advancement could you not live without?

As a writer, I don't think I could live without a computer and Word. I couldn't imagine typing a book on an old, manual typewriter and not being able to edit, revise, and move text around in the blink of an eye.

It's been great having you over.

Thanks for having me visit! I hope everyone enjoyed this interview. It's always fun to share my thoughts and answer interesting questions.
