My name is Jeremy Francis, and I am a 25-year-old first-time novelist hailing from the islands of The Bahamas. In 2000, at the age of 13, I competed in the Grand Bahama District Spelling Bee on my island and finished in first place. Later that year, I competed in the country's National Spelling Bee competition and finished in second position. My knack for words caught the attention of Grand Bahama's local newspaper General Manager/Editor at the time, Oswald Brown, who offered me to come and work at The Freeport News once I graduated high school. I became a journalist at the age of 18 and worked at the newspaper company for two years. This novel has been written out of a burning desire to always write and express myself through words.
