This section in the series goes above and beyond riveting and leaves you wanting even more.

Stride and Zero are still in a seemingly never ending battle to get away from the Vampire Queen when Zero's old human lover returns. Stride believes him to be a conjuring from his mother but Zero doesn't think so, not this time. Daken tells his tale of what happened after the crash and Stride still doesn't believe him. Stride seems irritated that Zero doesn't take his word for granted and that he is choosing Daken over him.

Zero is torn by his feelings between the two, what is he to do about both of them? The vampire queen doesn't let up on her torment of them and throws them for a loop they won't soon forget.
