He's No Prince Charming

Ever After, #1

He’s No Prince Charming is the first book in the new series by Elle Daniels and this is also the first book that I read from this author.

Unfortunately, this was a DNF for me. I went as far as the abduction of the heiress and I just had to stop.

Marcus Bradley is in search for an heiress to marry to save his sister from a terrible marriage. Danielle Strafford is on a mission to help lovers get their HEA by helping them elope and providing them a means to do this. Because she was the cause for Marcus losing a finance, HE forces her to abduct an heiress at the dead of night so HE can elope with HER. By threatening to expose Danielle, she is forced to do his bidding.

Danielle and Marcus successfully drug and abduct the heiress he chose, which was the deal breaker for me! It was a good thing that their coach was robbed on the way to Gretna Green so that their plans would be foiled but this means that the lady was kidnapped by another party! This was as far as I went.

I just couldn’t understand why they HAD to drug and abduct the heiress with Danni being a party to this when she was on a one woman crusade for LOVE!

A wounded beast . . .

It took Marcus Bradley forever to find a suitable bride. And then he lost her-all because some meddling matchmaker with a crazy notion about "true love" helped her elope with another man. Now, to save his sister from a terrible marriage alliance, he needs a replacement-an heiress to be exact . . . and he knows just the woman to help him find one.

A spirited beauty . . .

Danielle Strafford believes everyone deserves a fairytale ending-even the monstrously scarred and notoriously brooding Marquis of Fleetwood. Not that he's left her a choice. If she doesn't help him secure a wife-by any means necessary-he'll reveal her scandalous secrets.

A passion that will consume them both

The more time Marcus spends with Danielle, the less interested he is in any other woman. But the Beast must do the impossible: keep from losing his heart to a Beauty he is destined to lose.
