Soul Seduction

Ashlee doesn't need anyone in her life except her mentor and the infrequent phone calls to her family. She always felt different growing up and since the time she found out why, her independence streak became more pronounced, but it also makes her an extremely lonely. She believes its better this way because in her line of work getting too attached could get you dead.

Luke knows there's more to Ashlee than just a pretty face. Inexplicable feelings are overtaking his actions and before he knows it the overwhelming desire to protect her leads him to witness the reason for her late night excursions. While Ashlee is on the hunt to kill demons, Luke is on the hunt to claim Ashlee.

The story shows much promise with creating a world of demons versus vengeful slayers and the humans that mentor them, but it seemed to not be fully fleshed out and explored. This caused a bit of difficulty in connecting with the characters as well. However, there is no shortage of sexual frustration or angst over unfulfilled desires of the heart. The pacing is well matched to the action and there's never a dull moment when Luke is on scene.

Great story for readers looking for their next kick-butt female and hunky alpha fix!
