Ivy

Blackbird, #1

Widowed photographer Ivy Langdon avoids people in general after her husband’s very long and exhausting battle with pancreatic cancer. She ventures out days before Christmas for last minute gifts and stumbles into the middle of a terrorist attack in London. She ventures out mostly to prove to her mother she’s not the hermit she claims her to be.

Steven Samuels and his partner Gareth Richardson are called in with their company, Blackbird Security Firm, to rescue the hostages. Steven surprises Ivy when she's crawling on the floor of the mall from the bathroom back to her hidey hole. Steven and Gareth make it perfectly clear when they look her up after the hospital stay that they want to be in her life.

Ivy has attracted an unwelcome suitor who is not very happy about her 'silly wolves' shutting down their operation. It takes everything they have not to give in to their grief and break down. They will find their mate no matter what.

I liked this, it was a very fun read and Ivy is just adorable. No matter what is thrown at her she gets back up and keeps on going. Her mother is funny too.
