After months of Psyche text-messaging E, a man she met online, she's ready to meet him in person. The thing is E is a bit dodgy about it and it's weeks before they can finally meet. One day a limo shows up at Psyche's house and she's driven to E's house, all his lights are off, and E doesn't want to turn them on. He refuses to let her see him. But he can't see her either.
At first, Psyche plays along, but as she falls more in love with him, she breaks her promise to him and turns on the light one day. She sees that he's terribly beautiful, an actual god - Eros, god of love and desire. Since she broke E's trust, he gets horribly mad and refuses to see her or to forgive her.
Heartbroken, she doesn't know what to do. All she knows is that she wants E back. And she'll do anything - even go to hell - to get him back.
Psyche is a lovely modern novella based on a beautiful mythology story. I really liked the flow of the words and Kerry's style of writing. Psyche and E were wonderful character and their attraction to each other was very hot. From beginning to end, I definitely enjoyed it and I look forward to reading more of Kerry's stories.
After months of text messaging, Psyche is desperate to meet the man she's slowly falling in love with, but never seen. At last, they meet, but though the sparks fly, E hides in the dark and refuses to let her see his face.
Psyche plays along at first, but soon her curiosity is too much to bear. She breaks her promise not to turn on the lights, and with it, shatters E's trust. He leaves, despite her pleas and protests of love.
And she must seek aid from an ancient goddess and brave the dangers of the underworld in order to prove herself and win back the god she loves.
