The Dom's Dilemma

Dommissimma, #5

Seonagh is unhappy with her sex life and decides to persuade her two fathers who are Dom’s pair her up with a Dom. Both fathers are unhappy with this decision but do try to be supportive in a way that only they can. So they pair her up with a sadist in an effort to get her to abandon the lifestyle. Claudio Martakis is a good Dom and intrigued by Seonagh. Will they make it work?

The beginning of the story leaves you excited to see how this will end. By the end of the first chapter, I could not wait to finish the book. The author did a good job creating a realistic world and drawing in the reader. The pace of the story was a steady fast pace. The main characters and the secondary characters were believable and captivating. I loved how Claudio was willing to let Seonagh figure out if this lifestyle was for her without giving away his feelings too much.

The point of view alternated between Seonagh and Claudio, giving the reader a glimpse inside both characters. The changing point of view was done with care so the reader did not get lost or repeat story lines. The main conflict of this story is Seonagh exploration into BDSM with the support of her fathers and the Dom they paired her up with. The characters motivations fit the conflict. The conflict level was perfect, any more and it would have detracted from the overall story line and the short length of the story. The dialogue between the characters was candid and distinct. The characters voice matched not only the setting but fit their overall personality. The ending was a bit predictable but considering the length of this book it was expected, at only 50 pages. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

The Dom’s Dilemma is the fifth book in the Dommissimma series. While this book is part of a series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel. However, I thinks its best read as part of the series to get a better picture of the secondary characters.
