Reclaimed Surrender

Trust In Me, #1

Magnificent! This is an emotional story. Alexis and Rene’s marriage is crumbling. Alexis is a workaholic and Rene is so very angry. They were happy until about 6 months ago when Rene broke her trust. Now if they do not do something soon there marriage will forever be broken.

This story was well written and had realistic characters. The dialogue was very realistic as well. The author showed us the intricacies of the D/s relationship, all the while keeping it private.

I had several problems with the book. The more I read the more I disliked and liked Rene at the same time. I found him selfish and egotistical. I did find him to be a good Dom. I wanted a true conversation between the two as to what Rene did to break her trust and how they would work together to put the past behind them. This story came across as what will Alexis do to get back into Rene’s good graces.

I am not saying that Alexis is the victim in this story either. She hides what bothers her rather than be honest and open with Rene as to what is bothering her. I can completely see why a D/s relationship works for Alexis. She needs the focus it brings to get back her priorities is order.

I loved the story. Alexis and Rene had so much chemistry together they burned up the pages in the book. This is a wonderful journey that Ms. Murphy took us on. I can’t wait to read her next book!
