Raising the Bar

‘Raising the Bar’ is the third book in the Wicked Warren Brothers series by Marie Harte. Dylan Warren swapped places with his identical twin brother and is caught by a contractor named Harper. He meets Harper in a high-class club that meets the members every need. While at the club, they see a bartender that appeals to both of them named Freddy. Now Dylan does not know what to do because he is falling for both Freddy and Harper and does not know what to do about it.

Dylan is a psychiatrist who does not handle change well. Harper is a contractor working with Dylan’s twin brother. Freddy is Fredericka Thompson a bartender and part owner of the high-class club in town.

I loved how realistic each of the characters was. I especially enjoyed how Dylan was not perfect. I also enjoyed the chemistry between the characters. The sex scenes were hot and spicy.

The author takes you through a range of emotions. I really enjoyed watching Dylan grow over the course of the book. The only thing that could have made this story better is if we saw Dylan, Harper, and Freddy outside the bedroom.

While I have not read the other books in the series, this story can be read as a standalone novel or part of the series. Overall, I loved this story! I am now going to go back and read the books I missed. Now I wonder what is next for this series.

Book Blurb for Raising the Bar

One plus one plus one equals love.

Dr. Dylan Warren is too old to be swapping places with his twin brother, but to save a million-dollar deal, he’ll play along. He never counted on a sexy, nosy male contractor being able to tell the difference between them. In order to protect his brother’s reputation, Dylan agrees to meet Harper for dinner—at what turns out to be a high-class club that caters to its patrons’ every need.

Dylan has never made any bones about being bi, but he’s never had two lovers at once. Suddenly, he’s in lust with not only Harper but the hot female bartender intent on serving them more than drinks. Between Freddy, a beautiful woman who seems to know him better than he knows himself, and Harper, a man who pushes his every boundary, Dylan finds himself in that most uncomfortable of places—falling in love without a safety net.

Warning: Losing a bet may lead to sex clubs, threesomes, and spankings. One sexy psychiatrist, one giant hunk of a contractor, and one cute blond bartender combine in all imaginable configurations…and then some.
