Love Me Harder

Mathew Chance’s life has not been easy, growing up in foster homes. He had to work for everything he has in life but he is so forced on his goal he is overdoing it. With two jobs, he does not have much time to breathe much less date. However, fate has other plans. Asher Mulgrew is a wealthy divorce lawyer who is lonely. He was not looking for a man but will fight to keep Mathew in his life.

The beginning of the story leaves you interested in how this will all turn out for both main characters. By the end of the first chapter, I could not wait to finish the book. The author did a good job of drawing the reader in to her world. She did a great job of making it very realistic. The pace of the story was a bit slow at some points and fast is others. The main characters and the secondary characters were stimulating and genuine. I enjoyed the fact that both Mathew and Asher each had issues they needed to deal with while trying to make a relationship between them work.

The point of view alternated between Mathew and Asher, giving the reader a glimpse inside both characters. The changing point of view was done with care so the reader did not get lost or repeat story lines. I loved that the main conflict of the story was not overly complicated but keeps the story moving along without going stagnant. The characters fit the storyline and each other very well. The dialogue between the characters was honest and unique. The characters voice matched not only the setting but fit their overall personality. The ending was a bit predictable but the author kept the storyline interesting and fascinating. I hope we get to see these characters again in the future.
