‘Dangerous Submission’ is the second book in the Dangerous Affairs series by Lori Toland. British Agent Drake Steele was asked to protect Lord Robbie Covington while he hacked a computer. The one problem is Drake had to act as Robbie’s Dom to get it done. Drake could not agree fast enough. Now both Drake and Robbie are falling for each other.
The chemistry between Drake and Robbie is off the charts. They are a great fit. I wish Drake did not spend so much time trying to talk himself out of falling for Robbie as he did. The sex scenes were fantastic. The author did a wonderful job of taking some of the more darker aspects of BDSM and put a better spin on them.
What I did not get was the mission they were on. It made no sense to me. Why meet for a look at the painting when they could have stolen the laptop when Mueller was in the party with everyone else. That seems to be a better way to gain access to the laptop. In addition, what they were after was not really explained either. It came across that the mission was more of a side note than a main part of the story.
Overall, this was a great story. While I did not read the first book in the series, I will be picking the book up next. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.
British Agent Drake Steele never thought when he was hired on at the Serious Organised Crime Agency that his job would involve spanking a co-worker. But when the colleague is Lord Robbie Covington, the sexy red-headed computer hacker for SOCA and MI-6, Drake can't agree fast enough to pop Robbie's cherry and pull him into the sensual world of BDSM.
Now they are caught up in a web of lies as they pose as members of the jet-setting crowd. Drake and Robbie have to race against the clock to stop a weapons haul that could threaten the safety of all Europe. As their covers begin to fade and danger is closing in, protecting Robbie is Drake’s most important task, but neither man is ready for the moment when their hearts are put on the line.
