Baby Doll

Camellia Thomas is at a point where she wants to make changes in her life. She walked away from the man she loved and became a model and now regrets it. She still loves the man she left and wonders how she can change her life and get a second chance at love.

The beginning of the story leaves interested in how this story will turn out. By the end of the first chapter, I was excited to finish the story. The author did a good job of drawing the reader in to her world. She did a great job of making it very realistic. The pace of the story was a very fast paced due to the story only being 54 pages long. The main characters and the secondary characters were motivating and believable. Both Camellia and Jerry each had faults that they had to deal with making them realistic.

The point of view alternated stayed with Camellia from the first page to the last. The main conflict of the story is Camellia figuring out her life and choices she has made so far. Camellia realizes that she wants the man she left behind and goes after it. The dialogue between the characters was honest and unique. The characters voice matched not only the setting but fit their overall personality. The ending was a bit predictable but it does make you think about the choices you have made in your life. I hope we get to see these characters again in the future.
