Darius is a warrior of Anubis who thought he would spend eternity alone, hunting the evil doers for Anubis. Brisa was a bartender who thought Darius was way out of her league. After a dare from Brisa's friend, Brisa takes a moment to approach Darius. Darius decides to take a risk and enjoy Brisa while he can. He’s just not sure if or when he should tell Brisa about who he truly is. Will Brisa be able to handle it, or will she run away from Darius?
Embraced by A Warrior is just the first installment in the Warrior Hunger Series and the cliff hanger ending will make you want to get the next one as soon as it’s available. I can’t wait to see where Ms. Chenery goes with this series if book one was any indication. It’s hot steamy and action packed. My only complaint (okay- two complaints), were that it wasn’t long enough, and the cliff hanger ending, of sorts. Darius and Brisa end happily for now, but knowing there is going to be more in this series makes me wish that Ms Chenery had told more than one tale per book.
As a warrior of Anubis, Darius always believed he was destined to be alone. Never to come into contact with others like him, or experience passion in the arms of a woman for more than just one night. After eight hundred years alone, he begins to question what he’s always known when he finds a woman who stirs not only his desire, but his heart as well.
Brisa’s not blind, so she’s very much aware of the hot man who frequents the bar where she works. But he’s always been aloof. Throwing caution to the wind, she approaches the sexy stranger and finds herself completely swept away. But a shocking secret and an unsavory demon stand between them. Brisa must decide if she can love a man like Darius…for eternity.
