Marry Me, Marietta

When Marietta James sees a local dog get hit by a carriage, she carries the dog to Adam Hamilton's home.

Adam, a doctor, doesn't normally work on dogs, but when he learns it is the pet of a frail patient of his, he tends to it.

Marietta acts as his impromptu assistant and Adam is struck by her strength, intelligence and courage.

While the dog is healing, Adam insists on treating Marietta as well. One thing leads to another and the pair find each other tangled in one another's arms.

A tryst is fine with Marietta, but what will she do when the good doctor wants something more permanent?

Marry Me, Marietta is a sweet and spicy love story. Though it's a quick read, it has decent character development and steamy interactions between Marietta and Adam.

I felt the dialog didn't match the time frame, but the story was engaging.
