Ghosts of Alcatraz

Alcatraz, the world's most infamous prison now has been rebuilt to house the world's most infamous Cyber Criminals.  When the inmates begin dying in terrifyingly brutal ways the Warden, Jensen Black, knows he needs help from the paranormal community.  His superiors call in Dr. Brian Phipps, ghost hunter extraordinaire.  Their cover is that Brian is Jensen's lover and has been hired to investigate the deaths.  What Brian finds at Alcatraz is a type of ghost that he's never fought before and a love he's been trying to avoid since his Grandfather's death.  Can Brian and Jensen's new love save them or will it be too little, too late?

Carol Lynne usually writes Contemporary M/M romances, so this is a completely different type of story for her and she absolutely nailed it.  The characters are both strong and sensitive, the plot is awesome and I had nightmares for three days.  That means that the whole thing stuck in my head even when I was sleeping, which is an amazing feat when you think about the fact that I read as many as 10 books a day.  I'm looking forward to the sequel, which is due out in October, I believe.

Book Blurb for Ghosts of Alcatraz

When prison inmates begin dying in shocking and sometimes gruesome ways, warden Jensen Black decides to bring in sexy parapsychologist Brian Phipps to investigate. Getting to the bottom of what's killing the men for whom he's responsible is the plan. Falling for the lamb of a man with the heart of lion isn't on the agenda, but his heart has a mind of its own.
The attraction between the two men is instantaneous, but before they can fully explore the depths of their passion the ghosts set their sights on Brian. And as their relationship heats up, the danger escalates, leaving both men to wonder if they’ll ever make it off Alcatraz alive. Let alone, together.
