The Strangers on Montagu Street

Tradd Series, #3

This book has it all – romance, terror, mystery, angst, and paranormal elements. This is the first book I recall reading by Karen White and I can see why so many people have recommended her work to me. She has done a wonderful job of developing her characters and creating strong bonds with the secondary characters. Ms. White draws the reader in to the scenes so that not only the characters are terrified but if you are reading in a dimly Kindle lit bedroom you might want to switch on a light. This was an enjoyable read, although there was a bit of a cliffhanger ending between the two romantic interests, which I found disappointing. All in all, I look forward to more work from this author.

Melanie Middleton is restoring her home when her on again off again boyfriend Jack brings home a houseguest. Seems that Jack has a daughter, Nola, he didn’t know about and she isn’t all that happy to be spending time with her dad. Unfortunately, Nola is very angry with her dad and her mother passed away recently. To further complicate matters Melanie who is a psychic knows that Nola isn’t the only houseguest that Jack brought home, seems Nola has some strangers along for the ride and these particular houseguests don’t want to leave anytime soon.
