Shiloh Walker is a master storyteller. I can always count on her books to keep me entertained and in suspense. The Right Kind of Trouble is the third installment in her McKay’s Treasure series and by far the one I’ve been waiting for since the first book. I’ve enjoyed all of them but I’ve had a soft spot in my heart for Gideon Marshall since the first time he appeared in the first book. He’s so in love with Moira, but is slowly coming to believe that it’s never going to be the right time for them. Walker has created a well-written tale of young love gone wrong and at the center of the tale is wounded Moira McKay. Her story is believable; her character very well developed, and while this book is sometimes heart-wrenching Moira remains a sympathetic character throughout the story. I really enjoyed reading this installment and loved the Shiloh Walker kept me guessing throughout the series.
Gideon Marshall has been in love with Moira McKay since they were teenagers. They were meant to start their lives together right after high school and grow old together. One night changed everything when Moira’s parents were killed in a freak car accident and she’s left to raise her youngest sister with the help of her brother. Suddenly life completely changed and Gideon finds himself fighting, for years, to keep hold of the love he has for Moira and get her to realize that they belong together. After years of disappointment Gideon is finally ready to let go of the dream. When a man out for revenge attacks Moira he runs to her rescue and vows to protect her. It’ll take everything he has to convince Moira to let him be there for her, and possibly his last chance to convince her that they are meant to be together.
