The Color of Love is the latest book in Sharon Sala’s popular Blessings, Georgia series. Finally, it is Ruby Dye’s turn to receive a happily ever after. Fans have adored Ruby since the first novella and as this world has grown over the years she’s become a strong character and a pivotal character in many of the stories. This town centers on the people that interact with each of the main characters so through all of the stories readers have slowly been introduced to her underlying strength and her big heart. Even better though we find out that Ruby’s “secret admirer” from the last novel is actually my favorite local lawyer “Peanut” Butterman. Sharon Sala continues to deliver on her outstanding story telling skills and has woven a story that grips both the reader’s heart and imagination. Once again Sala has cemented herself on my autobuy list and delivered a book I’ll be happy to read again and again.
Ruby Dye is always the first to offer to help others out. She has strong conviction and when something doesn’t seem right, or someone is in trouble, she’s going to gather the local troops and go about setting everything right. After finding out that her recent secret admirer is none other than “Peanut” Butterman she couldn’t be happier about what her future might hold. Ruby has a secret though; she had a past before she came to Blessings and now that past has caught up to her. It’s going to take all her strength and the help of her secret admirer to see her through to her happily ever after.
He might be winning her heart before she even knows who he is...
