What a great combination of authors. Lynsay Sands thrills readers with Teddy Brunswick's story (finally) a friend to the Argeneau crew who meets up with Katricia Argeneau in "The Gift". Jeaniene Frost's treats us to a Night Huntress Cat and Bones story for Christmas in "Home for the Holidays". The combination of these two writers, both of which are gifted story tellers, is a wonderful surprise for readers who enjoy their series.
In "The Gift", Lynsay Sands explores the character of Teddy Brunswick an older, small town cop with a heart of gold. Surprised by Katricia Argeneau who ends up snowbound with him, she is much younger (or so it seems) and Teddy can't imagine that a beautiful, young woman like her would be interested in an old fuddy duddy like him. However, the family matchmaker has sent Katricia his way and if she can just get him to sit still long enough Katricia is ready to show Teddy that they could be life mates. This story is a thrill for an Argeneau series fan, and will warm reader's hearts with the delightful life mate interlude.
"Home for the Holidays" is a bit tougher book. Frost is a much brassier writer and the characters of Cat and Bones, as readers know, are both tough characters. They are witty, sarcastic and utterly in love. Seems like every time there's a book with this couple it's sure to test their relationship and commitment to each other and this story is no exception. With the whole Night Huntress crew along for the most part, we are quickly introduced to a surprise long lost relative. Unfortunately, you can't choose your family and this relative proves to have some really bad gifts to deliver. Fans of the series will enjoy this short story that will surprise readers with the twists and turns as Cat races the clock to once again save her beloved Bones.
In Lynsay Sands' "The Gift," Katricia Argeneau knows grey-eyed cop Teddy Brunswick is her life mate. She just needs to convince him they belong together, and being snowbound in a secluded cabin will make this a Christmas neither will forget.
It's "Home for the Holidays" in Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series. Cat and Bones may long to wrap presents and set up a tree, but this Christmas, an evil vampire and long-buried family secrets will threaten to take a bite out of their holiday cheer.
