Running Wild

The Men from Battle Ridge, #1

Running Wild starts the Men from Battle Ridge series off with a big bang. Linda Howard and Linda Jones make a blockbuster writing team and deliver a warm, entertaining, spell-binding story for readers to enjoy. I enjoyed following the romance between Zeke and Carlin. I found both characters likable and entertaining. I also found the characters and story line to be believable and well written. I am looking forward to the next book in the series and can't wait to see where Howard and Jones take us on the next journey. Fans of both authors will find the latest book a pleasure to read.

Zeke Decker is an alpha male that women can't help falling in love with. He is a bit of a loner, and not looking for love. Carlin Reed is a strong, smart woman who is on the run from a stalker. She doesn't think there is anyone she can trust and has no way to protect herself from the man stalking her until she ends up in Zeke's small town. Once these two get together though sparks start to fly and Carlin starts to believe that with Zeke by her side she might just be able to take back her life after all.

Book Blurb for Running Wild

In book 1 of this steamy new contemporary Western romance series by two blockbuster authors, a cowboy and a woman on the run take a stand and fight for love.

Carlin Reed lives in fear, off the grid, moving from place to place. So Battle Ridge, Wyoming, a small town in the middle of nowhere, seems like a good place to lie low for a while. But after becoming cook and housekeeper to cattle rancher Zeke Decker, Carlin suspects that she’s made her first mistake. Rugged, sexy, and too distracting for his own good, Zeke is pure temptation mixed with something deep and primal that makes Carlin feel almost safe. Soon things are getting way too hot in the kitchen.

Zeke doesn’t challenge Carlin’s terms: cash, dead bolts, and no questions. It is easy to see that she’s a woman in trouble. Problem is, he’s so blindsided by his attraction to her he can’t think straight. Zeke tries to stay all business, no complications—but that game plan is sabotaged the second Carlin gets under his skin. And when her terrifying past follows her to the ranch, Carlin faces a heartbreaking choice: run away from the man she loves, or put him in the crosshairs of a madman.
